Pearl Osibu, Appointed as Communications Director for Atheist Alliance International

The Atheist Society of Nigeria (ASN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Pearl Osibu, who is a registered member of ASN, as the new Communications Director for the Atheist Alliance International (AAI), an international atheist organisation comprising of different national atheist organisations around the world.

Pearl Osibu, is a graduate of Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), where she obtained a BSc. in Agricultural Economics and Extension. She is an experienced writer, blogger, editor and screenwriter of various television series, shows and productions; including the MNet TV show, Battleground and Tinsel.  She also wrote a web series titled; Our Best Friend’s Wedding, and was a writer/editor in the BBC radio drama, Story Story. Pearl was appointed the Communications Director for AAI following an interview after a nomination by the ASN in which the ASN called for applications from its registered members for the post of a Communications Director for the AAI.

As Communications Director, Pearl is in charge of, press@atheistalliance.org, she will also serve as the Executive Editor of Secular World Magazine, and is tasked with the putting together of a functioning press release email list, writing and releasing of the necessary announcements, producing projects to promote AAI on a national and/or global scale, arranging interviews, organising PR campaigns, overseeing all AAI Atheist Census and Secular World Magazine social-media accounts, directing the assigned volunteers working under this position, and presenting monthly reports to the board. This position demands a high commitment to time, and we at ASN are confident that she is capable of handling the position with utmost grace and aplomb.

We wish her the best in her new position, and we know that she is going to represent the Atheist Society of Nigeria efficiently in this capacity.

    I feel honoured to have met such a wonderful lady in person. Firm, pleasant, intelligent... She sure will represent us wonderfully at Atheist Alliance International.
